To register for the forum, select the register option on the forum page. This will take you to a screen where you will be fill out credential information. From there, you will receive an email with a link to verify that you’re a real person.
How To Post – Topic and Description
When you click into a category you will notice discussions are based on questions asked by forum users just like you. When you post a question/topic/idea or are looking to post one there are two parts to fill out. First, the topic which is the bold title top section. Then, under it is the elaboration and description of the user’s needs, thoughts or inquiry.
How To Post On The Forum
To post a question/topic, simply click the forum option in the menu. Scroll to the title “Create A Topic” (Remember you must be logged in to see this option) Then type in the Topic or Title to your question. Then, enter the details or an elaboration to your question (this is optional). You may also attach an file to the question this is under the “Attachment” option. This will add in your images or documents as a link viewable by other users. Finally, choose a category so that it is organized with like-minded topics. Then simply click the “Add Question” Button.
***Once posted, your question will be moderated by SDWR staff and then open for users to comment***
What Is A Category?
A category is a way of organizing topics and questions. You can browse categories to find and start discussions about things you’re interested in.
Can Everyone See All Categories?
Some categories are private because they contain information for SDWR clients, staff, or volunteers. If you are a client who would like to be on the Private Client category please click the button below.
Can I Follow A Category?
Yes. You can choose to be notified of specific category updates via email. To do this, click on the forum page in the menu. Scroll down to categories and select follow or unfollow.
How To Do A Password Reset?
If you have trouble logging in and need to reset a password follow these easy steps to redeem your new password:
1. Follow this link to the login page.
2. On the bottom left, select the ‘Lost Your Password?‘ option.
3. Enter your username or e-mail address that you use to log into the forum.
4. Check your email for a confirmation link to reset your password.

If the above process does not work or you do not remember your email or username, go to the contact us page of the site and request a new password by filling out the form. Please include as much information about your account as possible.

Post Vs. Topic
The Dashboard Of Our Forum
When you are logged into the SDWR forum, there is an option of the top right section of the screen to go to the “Dashboard”. This is where you can customize your profile information, change your password, and view recent activity.
If you are an SDWR client, you have an option for post on the Dashboard side. This is not a post to the forum but instead an opportunity to write a blog post for the Diabetes Alert Dog website. If you wish to write a comment on the forum or post a question please only do this from the forum section of the menu bar or else your comment will not be seen on the forum.
